Compassionate Five

THE COMPASSIONATE FIVE GRAPHIC NOVEL

The graphic novel is fast becoming one of the most significant phenomenon of the modern age as its unique combination of readable and accessible text is reinforced by graphic images that help even the most reluctant reader understand the narrative and moral of the story.

The CoED foundation will be working with writer and illustrator, Fiona Scoble, to co-construct a graphic novel entitled The Compassionate Five with two primary schools and an artist. The 20 pupils involved will undertake a two day workshop later this year, where they will build their own characters, suggest story lines, illustrate and provide the text.

Though a discrete product in itself, the longer term aim would be to secure further funding to enlarge and enhance the prototype into a finished novel designed to be read and loved by people of all ages.
